About the Frisco, Plano and North Dallas, Texas AreaCarrollton is Cool Situated just north of Dallas is the suburb of Carrollton. Selected as one of the best places to live by Money Magazine, Carrollton is known as being a business friendly and vibrant place to live. Residents of Carrollton can play on more than 1,230 acres of developed park land; 2 recreation centers: Crosby and Rosemeade; 2 swimming facilities; or 2 18-hole golf courses at the Indian Creek Golf Club. The historic downtown Carrollton square also holds many great city events and has lots of unique shops and restaurants. Students within the city of Carrollton attend one of four school districts depending on their location in the city. Most attend either Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD or Lewisville ISD, and some children attend Plano ISD and Dallas ISD. Neighborhoods in Carrollton range from the brand new: Austin Waters and Gates of Prestonwood to sought after luxury in Coyote Ridge and Dominion at Indian Creek.
Garland is a Good Time Garland is located to the northeastern side of the city of Dallas. There’s plenty to do in Garland! From summer fun at Hawaiian Falls waterpark to shopping in one of the more than 100 shops at the outdoor Firewheel Town Center, there’s something for everyone. Garland has its own Garland Special Events Center which hosts lots of major events: from graduation ceremonies to dance festivals and concerts. Garland is also home to one of the finest city-owned golf courses, Firewheel at Garland, which offers 63 holes. Most students in the city of Garland attend the Garland Independent School District. Some parts of Garland extend into other school districts, depending on location, including: Dallas ISD, Mesquite ISD, and Richardson ISD. The Dallas County Community College District also has a Richland College campus located in Garland. Garland is also home to Amberton University, a private university with both undergraduate and graduate programs.
Fairview is Fun The city of Fairview is located North of Dallas off of Interstate 75 between Allen to McKinney. For shopping and entertainment, the Village at Fairview is full of restaurants, specialty stores, and luxury living. Fairview also has six total parks with plenty of trails for hiking and biking. In addition, Arthur Hills, an 18 hole golf course, is designed for public use. The city of Fairview is served by two school districts: the Lovejoy Independent School District and McKinney Independent School District.
Lucas is Lively The city of Lucas is country living with all the conveniences of being in the city! Lucas is located to the East of the city of Allen and just to the West of Lake Lavon. It has easy access to many of the major highways in North Texas: Central Expressway (I-75), President George Bush Freeway (SH 190), and SH 121. Being near Lake Lavon, Lucas is just minutes from rich wildlife environment, fishing, and great boating! Lucas does not have its own school district. Instead it is served by six different school districts: Lovejoy ISD, Allen ISD, McKinney ISD, Plano ISD, Princeton ISD, and Wylie ISD. Lucas also has Lucas Christian Academy, a private school serving kindergarten through 12th grade.
Princeton is Peachy The city of Princeton is located to the East of McKinney and to the Northwest of Lake Lavon. Princeton is truly the best of both worlds: country living with the benefits of the Dallas Metroplex! Princeton has several parks including the Community Park/World War II P.O.W. Camp and the Veterans Memorial Park. The heart of Princeton also is located about 4 miles from Lake Lavon and its wildlife, fishing, and boating. The city of Princeton is served by the Princeton Independent School District which covers 60 square miles and serves the surrounding communities of Culleoka, Lowry Crossing, Branch, Climax, and the West side of Lake Lavon.
Little Elm is Lovely! The town of Little Elm’s 66+ miles of corporate town limits are shoreline to Lewisville Lake. Little Elm offers its residents lots of small town charm in the middle of Dallas! Little Elm is one of the fastest growing cities in Texas expanding over 498% from 2000 to 2007! Little Elm has lots of great access to Lewisville Lake. The city has one of the few free boat access points on the Lake. This popular lake has plenty of fishing, boating, water sports, and camping. Little Elm is served primarily by Little Elm ISD, but some homes are located within the boundaries of Frisco ISD. Little Elm is located in Denton county, making it an easy commute to the University of North Texas, Texas Woman’s University, and North Central Texas College.
